Two of skincare's biggest goals — smoother, firmer skin and a brighter, more even tone — in one beginner-friendly serum. Dr.Reju-All's Advanced Retino-Mela Serum pairs a gentle next-generation retinoid (hydroxypinacolone retinoate, or HPR) with tranexamic acid and niacinamide to target the look of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and dullness at once. HPR works like retinol to smooth and firm, but is far less likely to sting or flake, while tranexamic acid and niacinamide fade the look of pigmentation and even skin tone. Squalane, bisabolol and beta-glucan keep skin calm and cushioned — so this is a retinoid even sensitive and first-time users can ease into.

Gentle, next-gen retinoid: Hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR) delivers retinoid benefits — smoother, firmer, refined-looking skin — with far less of the irritation, dryness or peeling of traditional retinol.

Fades the look of dark spots: Tranexamic acid and niacinamide — two of the best-loved brightening actives — target the appearance of dark spots, melasma and uneven tone.

Smooths lines and texture: The retinoid and niacinamide work on the look of fine lines, wrinkles and rough texture for a smoother, more refined finish.

Built for comfort: Squalane, bisabolol, panthenol and beta-glucan calm and hydrate, making this an approachable retinoid for sensitive and first-time users.

1- Use in the evening (PM). Start 2–3 nights a week and build up as your skin adjusts.
2- After cleansing and toning, apply a few drops to dry skin, avoiding the immediate eye area.
3- Follow with moisturiser. The Dr.Reju-All LC-Ceramide Barrier Cream is an ideal pairing to buffer and repair.
4- Always wear sunscreen the next morning. Retinoids and brightening actives make sun protection essential.
5- Introduce slowly, and don't layer with other strong actives (like AHAs/BHAs) on the same night while your skin adjusts.

Frequently Asked Questions

It's a dual-action evening serum that pairs a gentle next-generation retinoid (hydroxypinacolone retinoate, or HPR) with tranexamic acid and niacinamide. The retinoid smooths and firms the look of lines and texture, while tranexamic acid and niacinamide target dark spots and uneven tone — so it works on both ageing and pigmentation at once. It's a 30ml serum, buffered with squalane and soothing actives.

It suits most skin types, including those new to retinoids, because HPR is much gentler than traditional retinol and the formula is cushioned with squalane, bisabolol and beta-glucan. If you have very sensitive or reactive skin, introduce it slowly (2–3 nights a week) and always moisturise. Patch test first.

HPR (hydroxypinacolone retinoate) is a retinoid — the same family as retinol — but it's a gentler, next-generation form that binds to skin receptors directly, so it delivers smoothing, firming benefits with far less of the redness, flaking and stinging retinol can cause. It's a great "starter" retinoid, but it's still an active, so ease in slowly and wear SPF.

Retinoids (including gentle ones like HPR) are generally advised against during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you're pregnant, trying or nursing, please check with your doctor before using this serum — and consider a retinoid-free option in the meantime. This is general information, not medical advice.

The "Mela" side of the formula is tranexamic acid plus niacinamide — two well-loved brightening actives that target the look of dark spots, melasma and uneven tone — working alongside the retinoid's skin-renewing effect. Results build gradually with consistent evening use, and daily sunscreen is essential to stop new pigmentation forming.
